Rules
Read before entering.
All rules must be followed. Online entries should include complete contact information, caption details, uploaded photos, and contest payment.
Eligibility and Entry Limit
One photographer may submit up to 5 photos. The entrant must be the photographer and must provide complete contact information with the entry.
Content
Photos should show the people, places, and critters of America's rangelands. Color and black-and-white images are accepted. Amateur and professional photographers may enter.
Technical Guidelines
Send high-resolution JPEG or PNG files. Images should be at least 3 megapixels when possible. Include a detailed caption with who, what, when, and where.
Entry Fee and Deadline
The entry fee is $5.00 per photo. Online entries must include uploaded photos, complete entry details, and contest payment. Deadline for entries: Feb. 13.
Image Manipulation
No cloning of physical objects or major color or tonal shifts. Cropping, subtle color correction, contrast adjustment, black-and-white conversion, and spot removal are allowed. Watermarks, names, and date stamps may disqualify an image.
Permission
Entrants grant RANGE permission to use submitted photos for contest judging, contest publicity, and possible use in magazines, calendars, and books. Calendar, book, or magazine use may earn extra money.
Mail-In Entries
Entrants who prefer to mail photos must submit digital image files on a flash drive with a completed entry form and payment. Flash drives will not be returned; RANGE keeps the flash drive.
